All done!

So yesterday was ET and we found out that the harvest was good! The donor gave us nine very good embryos and two of those were placed in my womb! I saw the embryos on the ultrasound screen and they were like two little grains of rice!
According to the doctor they are of very good quality a 4(1) and a 5(1-2) and they are hopefully burrowing themselves into my uterine wall!

A less positive piece of news is the fact that the doctor acted surprised when I mentioned the blood clot I had 20 years ago. I have told him this before, you see!
And then he wanted me to take tests to exclude me having a genetic predisposition toward blood clots. So now I have to convince one of my doctors to prescribe it. One of my online friends went to her regular doctor and told him she wanted to have the test done before paying over 60000 SEK for her next IVF-ED treatment. He agreed and let her take the test!

See, the problem here is that Swedish medical personel is not supposed to give us women that do fertility treatments abroad ANY help with prescriptions, tests and ultrasound exams. Sucks big time and I think it is grounds for discrimination!

Anyway, now I'm sitting in the hotel room that we have for one more hour and then we have six hours to kill until the airport shuttle pick us up and take us to the tiny little airport...
This town is currently plagued with fat and hungry mosquitos so besides the long wait I have to fight those litte buggers too!

  1. Can you not approach your doctor the way you would if you were worried about a new pregnancy after a recent miscarriage... regardless of how you got pregnant?

Does it make a difference if you turn to a private clinic?

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your beautiful little grains of rice :)

  2. And the grading... are the numbers 4 and 5 the cell stage they're in, and 1 and 2 the grade?

    Sounds promising :)

  3. Re: grading - I think so but I don't know what the numbers inside the parenthesis line up, only that 5 is better than a 4! :)
