Shopping, shopping and more shopping…

Went into the city on Saturday. Drove out to the outlets and IKEA yesterday, where we got a fake tree (just as boring as the one I had while living in Seattle), a new kitchen lamp, some end tables with storage (our new bar cabinet) and other "needed" goodies. Like more tea lights and the wine glasses we "got" as an engagement gift!

Today I went to close out the list for the last christmas presents. Had "fika" with a friend of mine, a gal I got to know through SWEA while living in Seattle. It was good to see her!
Anyway, I managed to get a whole bunch of things, but still a few more remain.
As soon as I'm done writing this I'm going to get started with some cleaning/decorating, move on to baking/cooking and then make the small gifts that I'm making myself!
The next two days will be filled with cooking/baking and making presents...

Oh, and by the way - I can now go an entire day without bursting into uncontrollable sobbing. It's more of a stomach pinch followed by slow, sad tears.

Until next time!

Christmas preparations

Wow, it is almost Christmas. I'm so behind on what I would like to have done for it. First I was pregnant and had to take it easy, then the sadness from loosing both my embryos made me loose all strength and resolve to get things done.
Finished my Christmas cards, barely on time!

Today I managed to finish or at least put together the grocery list, I have rented a car on Sunday, to go and do some serious shopping. Well, we need a Christmas tree - a fake one - because we have allergic people in our midst. It is surprisingly hard to find a nice-looking fake tree, unless you want to spend a small fortune...

Then there is still a bunch of gifts to get and a lot of cooking and baking to be done...
Since I'm behind already we'll see what I'll skip this year.

Getting static about not going to the gym, just don't want to - not ready for it. Also, since I got the swine flu shot yesterday I'm starting to feel a little flu-ish.

Spoke with a friend from Seattle tonight, she had just recently gotten my news, first the good news and then the bad, and wanted to tell me she's feeling for us. Nice to know. She was unusually knowledgeable about egg donation - that I appreciate, it is hard to have to explain the procedure all the time.

Tired now - it is time to take the dog out for the last time today, then to bed.
